Corporate Wellness
Illness can significantly impact a business, with statistics revealing substantial costs and productivity losses. According to the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), the average cost of absence per employee in the UK is £554 per year, amounting to significant annual costs for businesses. Stress, depression, and anxiety are responsible for 51% of all work-related ill health cases, leading to 17.9 million working days lost in 2019/20. Sickness absence rates are at their highest in over a decade, with an estimated 118.6 million working days lost in 2020 due to illness or injury. These figures underscore the critical need for corporate wellness programs to mitigate the adverse effects of illness on business operations in the UK.
It is becoming a clear that there is a great benefit for Corporate wellness programs that foster a healthy, productive, and engaged workforce. By investing in employees’ physical and mental well-being, companies can reduce absenteeism, lower healthcare costs, and enhance overall job satisfaction. Wellness initiatives, such as fitness challenges, mental health support, and healthy eating programs, help employees manage stress, maintain energy levels, and avoid burnout. These programs also demonstrate that the company values its staff, leading to increased loyalty and retention. Ultimately, a robust corporate wellness strategy creates a positive workplace culture, driving both individual and organisation success.
What can I offer your business/employees?
Group talks
In house talks to all employees about how diet and lifestyle changes will improve their health and stress levels, which can lead to better productivity and attendance.
Online talks
Live or pre-recorded webinars can work well for companies that have remote workers or work away from the office. The talks can be guided by me or you can poll your staff to find out what they would be interested to learn about.
