Sweet potato, lentil and chickpea soup

1 tin of tomatoes
1 tin of chickpeas
1 cup of red lentils
1 large onion
1 clove of garlic
1 tbsp tomato puree
400 ml veg stock
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp coriander
2 tsp puree ginger
1/2 tsp chilli powder

Place all the ingredients in a pan apart from the chickpeas, bring to the boil then simmer till sweet potatoes and lentils are cooked. stir regularly to stop the lentils catching. When ready blend if needed then add the chickpeas. Add more water if needed.
